Attack of the killer penguins

Today we are dropped off somewhere unpronounceable and we hike up a steepish trail ever wary of killer penguins. We are told if they sense danger they will attack en masse and leave no survivors. I fully expect to become  part of the rich life cycle on the antarctic penisula.

We are returned to the boat and indulge in the usual grande bouffe for lunch-I restrict myself to just 4 desserts.

Beautifully prepared roast penguin

I have noticed an intersting  in antarctica and that is that the cold icy air makes one's clothes shrink-even the belts; I've never heard of this being described before, maybe I should publish a paper!

In the afternoon we visit the aptly named Base Brown and ascend a slippery slope

We ascend a narrow slippery slope for a view.

Tonight I have 3 bread rolls, an event which eclipses all today's experiences.
