3 Days at Sea

We are now convinced the captain has gone over the edge. We hear him every night clomping up and down the corridors with his wooden leg tapping away.He has lost complete control of the vessel; as evidence of his complete descent into madness we found him eating marmite for breakfast instead of his usual plankton on toast.

The days are long with the same monotonous routine of waking, then large buffet breakfast, voluminous morning tea, gigantic lunch with selection of desserts,

afternoon tea and finally gourmet 5 course dinner. It is a constant battle to replace the calories lost in this harsh, uncompromising part of the world. We now know intimately what Scott and Shakleton had to endure.I will have to end this briefing as they have just announced a French pastry gala in the dining room and I am feeling quite weak from hunger not having any oral intake for well over 45 minutes
